Scientific Collaboration - facilitating scientific collaboration between UK universities and research laboratories and the best public and private-sector counterparts in the US.

Innovation - facilitating R&D partnerships and technology transfer, attracting R&D intensive international investment, and helping to access and benchmark against US technologies.

Influence - using science and innovation as a means of influence across the range of the UK's international strategic priorities, such as climate change, energy security, poverty, infectious diseases, counterterrorism.

Policymaking - helping policymakers develop best practice in science and innovation policy, and devleoping international frameworks in breakthrough technologies such as stem cell research.
