Passports

Welcome to the Passport pages of the UK Passport Service for the Americas and Caribbean. 

WEATHER ALERT:  Due to the current bad weather in Washington the Passport Service has been unable to operate and the office has been forced to close.   Any delays in issuing passports will be kept to a minimum.  A normal service will resume as soon as possible and this expected to be Thursday 11 February.

All enquiries should be directed to the Passport Information Helpline.

Customers should allow 4 weeks when making an application through the UK Passport Service for the Americas and Caribbean.  To help avoid any delays in processing your application please ensure your form is filled out correctly and all relevant document is enclosed.  Your passport photo must conform to the specified guidelines and be of a neutral expression with your mouth closed (no grinning, frowning, or raised eyebrows).  Applications received with anything other than this will be returned and the process will be delayed.

The UK Passport Service for the Americas and Caribbean issues passports for British Citizens visiting or resident in the USA and the countries listed here.  All applications must be made through the UK Passport Service for the Americas and Caribbean, Washington.
