Disabled access to the Embassy

The British Embassy has disabled access available. The information below details the kind of access.

The Rotunda: "Disabled Access Available"

  • Clear access from main reception via ramp into Rotunda.
  • Compliant route from inside Rotunda to both bathrooms and corridor.
  • Interior floor finishes compliant
  • Increased light levels
  • Compliant exit signs
  • Disabled access toilets with grab bars, ADA toilets, sinks, mirrors, faucets.

The Main building: "Disable Access Available"

General physical access

  • Main entrance clear and unobstructed
  • Disabled toilet available on the 2nd floor
  • One disabled parking slot
  • Floor coverings are even throughout
  • Good lighting
  • Instructions have been issued on how disabled people will be evacuated in the event of an emergency.
  • Handrails available in some toilets
  • Doors throughout the building are generally wheelchair accessible.
  • Elevators available to the 6th floor

Access for the visually impaired

Seeing eye dogs are welcome

Access for the Deaf /hard of hearing

We currently have one member of staff who can use both British Sign Language and American Sign Language and is willing to assist in this area.
