The West Coast* Science & Innovation Team promotes links between science and technology providers and users in the UK and US.

Through contacts in US industry, academia and research institutions, the team identifies opportunities in technology and innovation of interest to the UK, and vice-versa.

The Science & Innovation Team promotes international research collaboration, and facilitates technology transfer through partnerships and other means, working closely with the Consulate Trade and Investment Teams.

The Team ensures that UK policy is fully informed by West Coast science and technology developments and works to promote awareness of the UK as a world-class leader in science and technology.

The San Francisco Science and Innovation Team is part of the US Science & Technology network  with additional teams in Washington D.C., Boston, LA and Houston.

* West Coast encompasses: California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, Utah & Hawaii.
