The San Francisco Consulate-General covers Alaska, Northern California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada (except Las Vegas), Oregon, Wyoming and Washington State.

The Consular section handles notary services, citizenship ceremonies, notices of marriage and matters relating to the welfare of British citizens within our consular district.  Please see our Help for British Nationals section.

Those seeking emergency travel documents must call ahead to verify eligibility. For notary services, appointments are required.  For an appointment, please call 415 617 1300.

All passport enquiries (other than emergency travel documents) are dealt with by the British Embassy in Washington DC. Please see our passport pages.
