Political, Press & Public Affairs (PPPA)

The PPPA Department is the public diplomacy arm of the British Consulate-General, San Francisco. The Department fosters political, economic and social understanding by establishing links between British and American government officials, academics, researchers and public policy organizations. We organise exchange programmes, seminars and conferences.

We keep local government officials and opinion leaders informed of British Government policy; and provide senior officials in London with information on political, legislative and economic trends in our Consular District.
