New York & London: Sister Cities
New York City and London are closely linked through the Sister Cities Program, part of the NYC Global Partners Program.
Two of the world's great urban centers, London and New York signed a Sister Cities Partnership Agreement in 2001. This unique approach to municipal problem-solving allows London and New York to work together and "...identify themes, common to both, that can generate new initiatives to further nurture the increasingly powerful financial, social and cultural relationships between the cities."
Since then, London and New York City have collaborated on several summits, including events focused on climate change, diversity and technology.
