Florida Volunteers Network

Help for British Nationals

The British Consulate Florida Volunteers Network are our "eyes and ears" throughout the State. They assist us with a number of things which may include keeping us informed of incidents involving British nationals in their local area, or helping us to provide assistance following a hurricane or tornado.

Volunteers are only asked to help if we think it is safe to do so and more importantly, if the volunteers themselves believe it is safe to do so. We would never ask, nor expect a volunteer to put themselves or someone else in harms way.

The network was created two years ago and currently consists of 41 mostly British members of various ages and backgrounds who live throughout the state of Florida. We aim to have representation in each of Florida's 67 counties. All prospective Volunteers must go through a screening process, which includes a background check. If you would like to volunteer, then please keep checking back, we'll be posting details of how to apply to become a volunteer soon.

If you're an existing volunteer, check out our new group on Facebook.com. Look for "British Consulate Orlando - Volunteers Network". This group is open to existing volunteers who have undergone the required background checks.
