Catherine joined the British Consulate-General in February 2005.  A German major at The Colorado College, she later moved to Tokyo, Japan to teach English at a private conversation school.  After working there three years and rising to the position of Regional Trainer, she left to begin a new job at a Japanese business software company.  Back in Houston by late 2001, Catherine worked at the Houston World Affairs Council, an educational non-profit dedicated to promoting education and awareness of international issues and U.S. foreign policy.
