It is my pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to the Mile High City of Denver and the state of Colorado. Colorado is home to thousands of British citizens and is a major tourist destination for those wanting to try out their skiing skills in the Rocky Mountains. Famous resorts such as Aspen and Vail will be household names!

Throughout the year, we also see British visitors hiking, rafting and climbing in the great outdoors that are the Rockies.

In Denver we have a small, but experienced team. Our main focus is on the work that Colorado is doing to combat Climate Change, we also are here to foster scientific collaboration and to deepen and strengthen the political and economic relationship between the UK and Colorado. We do not deal with visas or routine passport enquiries.

From December 2008 the Consulate General in Colorado has responsibility for the states of New Mexico and Wyoming.

We are also ably supported on Trade and Investment work by the team in the British Consulate General in Chicago. And the team in Houston ably supports us in consular and science and innovation matters.

In all these areas I believe that the UK/Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming relationships are strong and growing.
