With support from the British Council
's Grants to Artists program, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago exhibits the work of British artist Liam Gillick in "Three Perspectives and a Short Scenario".
The MCA is the sole US venue to feature the Gillick exhibit, which runs October 10, 2009 to January 10, 2010.
At its heart, Gillick’s work is concerned with how art and architecture influence - and are themselves influenced by - interpersonal communication and interactions in the public sphere. This is the most comprehensive exhibition of Gillick's work in an American museum to date, including a major site-specific installation, a presentation of his design and published works, and a film documenting projects from the entirety of his career.
For additional information about the exhibit - which includes several related enrichment programmes - visit the MCA's website.
