Political, Press & Public Affairs

The Political, Press and Public Affairs Department is the public diplomacy arm of the British Consulate-General, Chicago. The Department fosters political, economic and social understanding by establishing links between British and American government officials, academics, researchers and public policy organisations. We organise exchange programmes, seminars, and conferences.

We keep local government officials and opinion leaders informed of British Government policy; and provide senior officials in London with information on political, legislative, and economic trends in the Midwest.
