Dr. Laura Maliszewski is an Officer for Science and Innovation at the British Consulate-General Boston. Specializing in the Life Sciences, Laura’s work focuses on indentifying New England leaders in Bioscience innovation and building connections between the New England and UK scientific and technical communities. Laura’s special interests include infectious disease and translational medical research.

Laura has a BS with a concentration in Biotechnology from the University of Delaware where she studied the immune responses of plants to bacterial pathogens. She recently completed a PhD in Virology from the Harvard Division of Medical Sciences at Harvard Medical School studying the influence of human microRNA expression on the immortalization of primary human macrophages infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
