Kerry Norton is an analytical chemist by training. Born in Shoreham-by-Sea, England, she was educated in the United States, earning a BS in Biology from Mercer University in Georgia, and an MS in Analytical Chemistry from Georgia State University.

Kerry’s graduate work focused on the use of novel surfactants for chiral drug separation using capillary electrophoresis. She presented this and other work at the Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy in Chicago in March of 2004.

Before joining the consulate, Kerry worked in the pharmaceutical industry, and specialised in the research and development of transdermal drug delivery while at Altea Therapeutics. She also has significant experience in environmental science and fuel-cell technology, and has a keen interest in alternative and renewable energies.
