During both events, Sir Alan spoke about the importance of sustainability and legacy of the 2012 games, as well as potential business opportunities.

Sir Alan also met with executives from Disney, who focus on environmental affairs. Disney is currently working on sustainability and climate-friendly practices. In addition to Disney, Sir Alan visited Lockheed Martin's Simulation, Training and Support facility in Orlando. Sir Alan was given an overview of their simulation, operational and training programmes, including those that could be used for the 2012 Olympics.
