Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors welcome Consul-General to Los Angeles (October 28, 2009)
British Consul-General Dame Barbara Hay was officially recognized on the morning of 27 October by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles. Chairman Don Knabe introduced Dame Barbara and presented her with a plaque commemorating her appointment as the new British Consul-General in Los Angeles.
Chairman Knabe expressed his gratitude that Los Angeles has been honoured with an appointed British Consul-General of Dame Barbara’s stature and extensive background. Dame Barbara followed Chairman Knabe’s remarks by stressing the important trade and cultural connections between the UK and Southern California.
