British Consulate-General, Chicago honours 100 years of the Daughters of the British Empire (October 19, 2009)
More than 60 members of the Daughters of the British Empire attended a reception in Chicago on Friday, October 16, 2009 to honour the 100th anniversary of the charitable organisation of British women. The event was hosted by Deputy Consul General Geoff Brammer of the British Consulate-General, Chicago.

The Daughters of the British Empire (DBE) is a charitable, non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian, voluntary American society of women of British or Commonwealth birth or ancestry. Its members are professionals, businesswomen and homemakers with common interests and heritage, who meet regularly for business and social events with the common cause of philanthropy.
Geoff Brammer is HM Deputy Consul General in Chicago.
