Lord Mayor promotes London as financial capital in Phoenix and Los Angeles (October 09, 2009)
The Lord Mayor of London Alderman Ian Luder visited Phoenix and Los Angeles last week in an effort to promote London and the UK as a financial capital. This was the first visit by a Lord Mayor to the West Coast since 2003. The productive visit included meetings with political leaders, business executives and experts in public private partnership financing. The Lord Mayor made investment calls to businesses with strategic investments in the UK and the City of London.
While in Los Angeles, the Lord Mayor also spoke to professionals in the financial services, accounting and law industries at a British American Business Council breakfast and hosted a dinner with leading financial services companies from the UK and Los Angeles.
