Paul Lynch at Baylor University for Keynote Speech on Global Issues (September 29, 2009)
On 24 September, Consul General Paul Lynch delivered a keynote address at Baylor University’s Global Issues Lecture Series. In addition, he met with Dr. David Garland, interim president of the university; Dr. Michael Morrison, Jo Murphy chair & Director of International Education; Dr. Lizbeth Souza-Fuertes, Director of Latin American Studies and Coordinator of the lecture series; Dr. Truell Hyde, Vice Provost, Research and Director of CASPAR; and Betsy Vardaman, Associate Dean, Special Academic Projects and Marshall Scholars Advisor.
During the visit, the Consul General also met with several business leaders, including the Mayor of Waco, Texas and the President of the Chamber of Commerce as well as staff from representatives in the Texas House and US Congress.
