If you have been asked to provide a "police certificate",  when applying for a visa for the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand,  you will need to contact the Association of Chief Police Officers.

If you have been asked to provide a "police certificate" for any other purpose you will need to contact the local police from where you last lived in the UK.
