Cars and driving

Who is responsible for UK driving tests?

The Driving Standards Agency is responsible for conducting driving tests in Great Britain for cars, motorcycles, trucks and buses.

DSA also maintains a register of car driving instructors and checks their standard of tuition, supervises Compulsory Basic Training for motorcyclists and sets and maintains theory test standards.

DSA contributes to the road safety of drivers, riders and all other road users.

Further information can be found at the Driving Standards Agency.
