Where can I find information on the UK in the Olympics?

The British Olympic Association (BOA) was formed at a meeting of the House of Commons on 24 May, 1905. The aim of the BOA is "To develop and protect the Olympic Movement in Great Britain in accordance with the Olympic Charter".

Great Britain is one of only five countries which has never failed to be represented at the Olympic Games since 1896: Australia, France, Greece and Switzerland being the others. Of these, only France, Great Britain and Switzerland have also been present at all Olympic Winter Games.

Great Britain has hosted two Olympic games, in 1908 and 1948. London will host the Summer Olympics in 2012.
